TERMS

This is a digital service provided by HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Statement explains the personal data HTX processes, how HTX processes it, and for what purposes. The Privacy Statement applies to all users of this Site. By accessing our Site, users are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Statement.

1. COOKIES:

We may collect information by using “cookies.” These cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device to remember information about your visit. We may use session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser), as well as persistent cookies (which stay on your device until you delete them) to better understand how you interact with the Site, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on the Site, and to improve the Site. NOTE: cookies can tell us about when you visit this Site and which pages you visit, but they cannot read data off of your hard disk.

1a. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. However, if you do not want us to place a cookie on your hard drive, you may be able to turn that feature off on your computer or mobile device. Please consult your browser’s documentation for information on how to do this, as well as how to delete persistent cookies. NOTE: modifying your browser settings to decline cookies may prevent you from using the full functionality of the Site.

2. THIRD-PARTY ANALYTICS:

We may use one or more third-party analytics services (such as Meta Pixel) to evaluate your use of the Site, compile reports on activity, collect demographic data, analyse performance metrics, and collect and evaluate other information relating to the Site. These third parties use cookies and other technologies to help analyse and provide data. By accessing and using the Site, you consent to the processing of data about you by these analytics providers in the manner and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Statement. NOTE: opting out of any service may prevent you from using the full functionality of the Site.

2a. We may use the Meta Pixel on this Site. The pixel allows user behaviour to be tracked after they have been redirected to this stie by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way is anonymous to us – we do not see the personal data of individual users. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook in accordance with its data usage policy.

3. SECURITY:

In particular, emails sent to or from the Site may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email or other electronic means. You, too, need to strive to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer by signing off once you have finished using a shared computer.
